The St. Paul Nebraska Educational Foundation is a nonprofit tax-exempt corporation whose purpose is to promote educational excellence in the St. Paul School system.
The St. Paul Educational Foundation can be a vehicle for providing funds, either large or small, to meet educational needs that other revenues cannot fulfill. Some of the gifts presented to the school include:
- scientific microscopes
- specialized computer hardware and software for teachers
- drating and advanced reading programs
- music shell for the auditorium
- computer hub
- weight room equipment
- overhead projection equipment
- specialized mathematics calculators
- special programs and speakers for school assemblies
Funds to meet these purposes will come essentially as direct gifts from individuals, memorial contributions, and bequests. The foundation is continually seeking funds to help meet the needs of requests. All contributions have potential income tax as well as estate and gift tax incentives.
The St. Paul Educational Foundation administers several Scholarship funds, and has awarded over $75,000 in scholarships to college bound area students in accordance with the wishes of the donor families. These scholarships include:
- Gladys Cerney Scholarship- Awarded to a St. Paul high school graduate who is pursuing a career in education
- Sonderup Education Scholarship- Awarded to a Howard County resident who is pursuing a career in education
- Sonderup Medical Scholarship- Awarded to a Howard County resident who is pursuing a career in a medical related field
- Pauline Lind Scholarship- Awarded to a St. Paul high school graduate who is pursuing a career in fine arts

The St. Paul Nebraska Educational Foundation was incororated on February 21, 1989 and is governed by a board of directors consisting of individuals from Howard County. All business and distribution of funds are conducted by the Board of Directors.
